Before the Court is Mother's August 16, 2023 motion for extension of time to file her brief. Because this is a termination of parental rights case and the appeal must be handled expeditiously, we GRANT Mother's motion to the extent that we extend the time to file her brief until September 11, 2023. We CAUTION Mother that further extensions of time will be disfavored. We further CAUTION Mother that failure to file a brief by the date specified may result in this Court abating the appeal for a hearing to determine why the brief has not been filed and if appointment of new counsel is necessary for Mother to receive the effective assistance of counsel.
