Appellant's brief, which was due on April 30, 2018, has not been filed. On May 9, 2018, this court ordered appellant to show cause in writing why this appeal should not be dismissed for want of prosecution. Appellant did not respond. Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a); see also TEX. R. APP. P. 42.3(c) (allowing involuntary dismissal if appellant has failed to comply with a court order). Costs of appeal are taxed against appellant.
