STANLEY D. HENDERSON, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

This case is calendared for a in person trial at the session of the Court scheduled to commence on January 23, 2023, for cases in which Las Vegas, Neveda, is the place of trial. On October 13, 2022, respondent filed a Status Report. In that report, respondent notifies the Court that petitioner's counsel of record, Brian P. Morrison, passed away on September 16, 2021, which date is subsequent to the filing of the petition in this case and attached thereto a copy of the obituary for Brian P. Morrison. Brian P. Morrison was petitioner's only counsel of record for this case.
Respondent has not directly contacted petitioner regarding this case due to ethical concerns regarding petitioner's representation. October 21, 2022, a representative from the Court contacted respondent to inquire as to the name and address of petitioner's administrative representative, who is not admitted to practice before the Court; however, respondent notified the Court that respondent has been attempting to resolve some or all of the issues.
Upon due consideration, it is
ORDERED that, on or before November 21, 2022, the parties shall file a status report setting forth: (1) petitioner's current status as to obtaining new counsel of record; (2) whether petitioner intend to prosecute their case pro se; and (3) the current status of this case.
ORDERED that, in addition to regular service, the Clerk of the Court shall serve a copy of this order on petitioner's administrative representative, Robert Stovall, and on Stanley D. Henderson, at the following addresses:
