ORDER

Petitioner A'Kinbo J.S. Hashim-Tiggs has filed a motion for an expeditious ruling on his habeas corpus petition, or in the alternative, for an injunction ordering the Wisconsin Department of Corrections to transfer him from the Wisconsin Secure Program Facility to a different prison. As grounds for the motion, petitioner asserts that he has suffered "perpetual harassment" at the hands of WSPF prison officials since the altercation with prison officers that led to petitioner's conviction for battery that is the subject of the instant habeas petition.

Petitioner's motion will be denied. With respect to his request for a transfer, this court lacks the authority to tell the Department of Corrections where to house its prisoners. If petitioner has a basis for his claim of "perpetual harassment," then he should present it to prison staff by utilizing the prison grievance procedure. As for petitioner's request that his habeas petition be decided expeditiously, the motion is denied as unnecessary. This court always decides habeas corpus petitions as expeditiously as possible.
