On December 19, 2023, docket entry 16, the parties filed a Joint Status Report indicating that respondent's Independent Office of Appeals held a settlement conference on December 6, 2023, during which Appeals made a settlement offer to petitioners. Petitioners are currently reviewing the settlement offer. The Joint Status Report further indicates that if this case proceeds to trial, the parties intend to file a Motion to Consolidate this case with James B. Gentry & Marilyn J. Gentry v. Commissioner, at Docket No. 24174-22. The parties request that the Court order a Status Report to be filed in this case on or after June 28, 2024.
After due consideration, it is
ORDERED that, on or before June 28, 2024, the parties shall file a Joint Status Report with the Court as to the then-present status of this case.
