ORDER
On August 25, 2017, this court received appellee's brief. The brief violates Rule 38.2(a) of the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure in the following respects: (1) it does not respond to the issues raised in the appellant's brief; (2) it does not contain any citations to legal authority as required by Rule 38.1(i); (3) it does not contain any citations to the appellate record, i.e., the clerk's record and reporter's record, as required by Rule 38.1(i); and (4) it does not contain a certificate of compliance with a word count as required by Rule 9.4(i)(3). See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.1(i), 38.2(a), 9.4(i)(3). Further, appellee is advised that we may not consider documents not contained in the appellate record which are attached to a party's brief. TEX. R. APP. P. 34.1; Samara v. Samara, 52 S.W.3d 455, 456 (Tex. App.—Houston [1st Dist.] 2001, pet. denied).
It is therefore ORDERED that the brief filed by the appellee is STRICKEN from our record for noncompliance with Rule 38.2. It is FURTHER ORDERED that appellee file an amended brief complying with the above requirements within thirty (30) days from the date of this order. If no amended appellee's brief is filed within that time period, this appeal will be submitted on the appellant's brief alone, without the benefit of an appellee's brief.
