MICHELLE GONZALEZ, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Cary Douglas Pugh Judge.

This case was called from the calendar of the Court's Milwaukee, Wisconsin trial session on June 12, 2023, for hearing on respondent's Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Prosecution, filed May 22, 2023. Petitioner was unable to attend the proceeding. Counsel for respondent appeared and was heard. The Court held a conference call with the parties, and on June 14, 2023, we directed petitioner to show cause in writing why the Court should not grant respondent's motion. On July 12, 2023, petitioner informally responded to our Order to Show Cause. On July 13, 2023, we discharged the Order to Show Cause, but respondent's Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Prosecution remains pending. On August 28, 2023, we held another conference call with the parties. Upon due consideration and for cause

ORDERED that, on or before September 29, 2023, the parties shall file status reports regarding the then-present status of this case. The reports should advise the Court what actions the parties have taken to prepare this case for trial or other resolution and whether they believe this case is for trial or settlement.
