ALONZO GAUT, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 203rd Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. F20-39098

ORDER

NANCY KENNEDY, JUSTICE

Before the Court is court reporter Crystal Brown's May 31, 2023 third request for extension of time to file the reporter's record. The record was originally due December 30, 2023 and is now more than five months overdue. In the request, Ms. Brown states she has been undergoing medical treatments. She attached to her request a letter from a doctor stating she should be excused from work from May 22, 2023, through June 2, 2023, due to medical treatments on May 22 and May 25. Ms. Brown states in the request, "I will have the exhibits scanned by the end of this week and the complete record filed by June 5, 2023." We GRANT the request for extension, and we ORDER Crystal Brown to file the reporter's record no later than JUNE 5, 2023. We caution Ms. Brown that the failure to file the record by that date will result in the Court utilizing whatever remedies it has available, which may include ordering that Ms. Brown not sit as a court reporter until she files the complete reporter's record in this appeal.

We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to the Honorable Raquel Rocky Jones, Presiding Judge, 203rd Judicial District Court; Crystal Brown, Court Reporter; and counsel for all parties.
