ORDER
In separate indictments, appellant was convicted of the felony offense of driving while intoxicated (trial cause number 73552; appellate cause number 14-14-01025-CR), bribery (trial cause number 74807; appellate cause number 14-14-01026-CR), and possession of a controlled substance (trial cause number 73600; appellate cause number 14-14-01027-CR). Appellant was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment and a fine of $5,000 for driving while intoxicated, fifteen years' imprisonment and a fine of $10,000 for bribery, and 365 days in state jail for possession of a controlled substance. The sentences run concurrently.
In his brief on appeal, appellant argues that the judgment in trial cause 73552 improperly assesses attorney's fees against him. He does not raise any issue in trial causes 74807 or 73600. Counsel's failure to raise any issues addressing the conviction in trial causes 74807 or 73600 without following the procedures of Anders v. California, 386 U.S. 738, 742-44 (1967), deprives appellant of effective assistance of counsel.
To provide appellant with the effective assistance of counsel on appeal, it is ORDERED that appellant's counsel, Joseph Kyle Verret, file an amended brief in compliance with the appellate rules and the Anders procedure in this court on or before February 25, 2016.
