TED H. FRANSE, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes Judge

This case was on the Court's October 25, 2021 trial calendar for San Francisco, California. We continued it to enable the parties to try to make progress through settlement in informal discovery. Progress was good until they tried to settle a very document-intensive net-operating-loss substantiation issue. We discussed alternative paths forward with them today. Petitioner says he has substantiating documentation for losses that by this point go back over a decade. The Court expects that giving the parties a trial date will spur the investment of time needed to bring this case to a close. It is therefore

ORDERED that this case be added to the Court's trial calendar that will begin at 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2023 in Room 2-1409 of the Burton Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse at 450 Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco, California 94102. It is also

ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court is directed to attach a copy of the Court's standing pretrial order for the May 1, 2023, San Francisco, California trial session to a copy of this Order served on the parties. This Order is the official notice to the parties of this schedule.
