In Ford Motor Co. v. Buell–Wilson (2007) 550 U.S. 931, 127 S.Ct. 2250, 167 L.Ed.2d 1087, the United States Supreme Court vacated the judgment in Buell–Wilson, and remanded the matter to the Court of Appeal for further consideration in light of Philip Morris USA v. Williams (2007) 549 U.S. 346, 127 S.Ct. 1057, 166 L.Ed.2d 940, which involved due process limits on the award of punitive damages.
