District Court of Appeal of Florida, Third District
Sep 18, 2002
825 So. 2d 1061 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. 2002)

Opinion

Case No. 3D01-2641

Opinion filed September 18, 2002.

An Appeal from the Circuit Court for Dade County, Jerald Bagley, Judge. Lower Tribunal No. 97-1931A.

Jose Fernandez, in proper person. Robert A. Butterworth, Attorney General and Meredith L. Balo, Assistant Attorney General, for appellee.

Before SCHWARTZ, C.J., and GREEN and RAMIREZ, JJ.

After an evidentiary hearing, the trial court denied the defendant's claim for post-conviction relief on the asserted ground of ineffectiveness of trial counsel. The order is affirmed on the basis of the trial court's comprehensive, well-reasoned and well-supported order. See Strickland v. Washington, 466 U.S. 668, 104 S.Ct. 2052, 80 L.Ed.2d 864 (1984); Anderson v. State, 467 So.2d 781 (Fla.3d DCA 1985), pet. for review dismissed, 475 So.2d 693 (Fla. 1985).
