EXECUTIVE ORDER
Pursuant to the authority granted to the Chief Justice under § 8-15-2 of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island 1956 (1985 Reenactment), it is hereby ordered as follows:
Rhode Island state courts shall remain open but their regular calendars shall be suspended for Thursday, May 1, 2003, in order that (consistent with Supreme Court Rule 48 and § 8-1-2 of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island 1956 (1985 Reenactment)) our judges and judicial staff may participate in Law Day presentations in Rhode Island schools.
Each court may designate a duty judge to be available for emergency matters and such other proceedings as may be necessary.
