MEMORANDUM OPINION

A jury convicted Billy Joe Williams of burglary of a habitation and assessed his punishment at 70 years' imprisonment after finding him to be an habitual offender. Although Williams's appeal of this conviction is pending in this Court, he has filed an application for writ of habeas corpus with this Court under article 11.07 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. See TEX. CODE CRIM. PROC. ANN. art. 11.07 (Vernon Supp. 2003). However, "[t]his Court does not have original habeas jurisdiction in criminal law matters." Ex parte Hearon, 3 S.W.3d 650, 650 (Tex. App.-Waco 1999, no pet.). Accordingly, we dismiss Williams's habeas application for want of jurisdiction.
