On August 8, 2023, appellant Alonso Islas Sampiero filed "Petitioner's Motion for Temporary Stay of In-Person Trial Court Proceedings," seeking to stay all in-person trial court proceedings in Zapata County Court at Law Cause No. CR-08502 pending resolution of this appeal.
After consideration, we GRANT the motion as follows: All settings requiring appellant's in-person appearance in Zapata County Court at Law Cause No. CR-08502 are STAYED pending final disposition of this appeal.
