ESTATE OF CHARLES CHEN, DECEASED, JOHN CHEN, EXECUTOR, Petitioner(s) v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Patrick J. Urda, Judge.

This case was continued from the Court's March 25, 2024, Boston, Massachusetts trial session and jurisdiction was retained by the undersigned.

On February 23, 2024, the Court issued an Order directing John Chen to apprise the Court whether he (or someone else) had begun a probate proceeding with respect to the estate of the decedent, Charles Chen. On May 16, 2024, John Chen filed a response to our Order that included a copy of a probate filing in New Hampshire state court. As John Chen has documented the commencement of a probate proceeding with respect to the Estate of Charles Chen, we will give him additional time to obtain letters testamentary or letters of administration reflecting that he has been appointed by a court of competent jurisdiction as executor of the Estate. Accordingly, it is

ORDERED that, on or before August 21, 2024, Mr. John Chen shall file a status report with this Court and attach thereto the correspondent letters testamentary or letters of administration, if any have been issued.
