ORDER DENYING PETITION
This original petition for a writ of mandamus seeks an order directing the district court to reverse and vacate an August 9, 2018, order denying Ramses Antonio Escobar's "Motion for an Order, For the Production and Delivery of Petitioner's Legal Property." Escobar asserts the district court refuses to order his former counsel to produce and deliver Escobar's legal property. Escobar has not provided this court with any exhibits or other documentation to support his contentions. See NRAP 21(a)(4) (providing the petitioner shall submit an appendix containing all documents "essential to understand the matters set forth in the petition"). Therefore, without deciding upon the merits of any claims raised, we decline to exercise our original jurisdiction in this matter, see NRS 34.160; NRAP 21(b); Pan v. Eighth Judicial Dist. Court, 120 Nev. 222, 228, 88 P.3d 840, 844 (2004) ("Petitioner[ ] carr[ies] the burden of demonstrating that extraordinary relief is warranted."), and we
We deny Escobar's motion for the appointment of counsel in this matter. --------
