ORDER DENYING PETITION

This is a proper person petition for a writ of mandamus asking this court to order the district court to rule on petitioner's post-conviction petition for a writ of habeas corpus. We have reviewed the documents submitted in this matter, and without deciding upon the merits of any claims raised therein, we decline to exercise original jurisdiction in this matter. See NRS 34.160; NRS 34.170. Accordingly, we

We note that we are troubled with the lack of progress in petitioner's case, particularly given appointed counsel's January 2012 letter to the district court acknowledging that he had allowed petitioner's case to languish but promising to take immediate action.
