ORDER
Jennifer Anne Crouch has appealed her conviction for prohibited sexual conduct. Crouch's notice of appeal was filed April 20, 2012. The clerk's record was filed May 24, 2012, and the reporter's record was also filed May 24, 2012. Crouch's brief was therefore due June 25, 2012.
We have now received Jason Horton's motion to withdraw as counsel. Horton states in the motion that he was appointed to represent both Jennifer Anne Crouch and her husband, Gary Crouch, in our cause number 06-12-00061-CR. Horton further states in his motion that during his review of the reporter's record, he discovered that a conflict of interest exists in his representation of both appellants.
Accordingly, we grant the motion to withdraw as to this cause number and abate this case to the trial court for appointment of new counsel.
The appointment shall be made within fifteen days of the date of this order.
A supplemental clerk's record containing the appointment shall be filed with this Court no later than ten days after the appointment is made.
All appellate timetables are stayed and will resume upon the filing of the supplemental clerk's record containing the appointment of the attorney.
The appellant's brief will be due thirty days after counsel is appointed. Due to the length of time already incurred in this appeal, motions for extensions of time will not be looked upon with favor.
