23. Malicious destruction of personal property constitutes a "crime" within the meaning of M.G.L. Chapter 258A, § 1, for which a victim sustaining personal physical injury may be compensated. M.G.L. Chapter 258A; M.G.L. Chapter 266, § 127; Commonwealth v. Hosman, 257 Mass. 379, 154 N.E. 76 (1926); Commonwealth v. Peruzzi, 15 Mass. App. Ct. 437, 446 N.E.2d 117 (1983). Allowed, but the Court does not find that the crime of malicious destruction directly resulted in personal physical injury to the petitioner.
