COMMONWEALTH v. Michael S. BOYD.

For purposes of the statute, a “violent crime” is defined as G.L. c. 140, § 121, as appearing in St.1998, c. 180, § 8. The defendant argues that none of his prior juvenile adjudications were for “violent crimes” because the Commonwealth failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that they involved use of a deadly weapon.
