Appeal from the 112th Judicial District Court, Sutton County, Texas, Trial Court No. 1950, Honorable Royal Hart, Judge Presiding.

Sitting: CATHERINE STONE, Justice, KAREN ANGELINI, Justice, SANDEE BRYAN MARION, Justice.

MEMORANDUM OPINION

In this appeal, the trial court imposed sentence on October 18, 2006. Because appellant filed a motion for new trial on October 25, 2006, his notice of appeal was due to be filed by January 16, 2007. Tex. R. App. P. 26.2(a). A motion for extension of time to file the notice of appeal was due on January 31, 2007. Tex. R. App. P. 26.3. Appellant did not file his notice of appeal until February 21, 2007, and he did not file a motion for extension of time to file the notice of appeal. On March 13, 2007, this court ordered appellant to show cause in writing why this appeal should not be dismissed for want of jurisdiction. Although appellant responded to our order on March 22, 2007, he provided no basis upon which this court can obtain jurisdiction over his appeal. Consequently, we must dismiss the appeal for want of jurisdiction. Dismissed For Want of Jurisdiction.
