ROSALINO GALARZA CERBANTEZ, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 283rd Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. F22-76471-T

ORDER

ROBERT D. BURNS, III CHIEF JUSTICE

We REINSTATE this appeal.

We abated this appeal for the trial court to hold a hearing and make findings regarding appointed counsel Bruce Kaye's failure to file appellant's brief in this case. On March 18, 2024, the trial court found that appellant is indigent and that neither appellant nor his counsel has abandoned the appeal, and the trial court recommended that we grant Mr. Kaye an additional 45 days to file appellant's brief. We accept the trial court's findings. We ORDER Bruce Kaye to file appellant's brief on or before MAY 2, 2024.
