Jaime Camilo Camarena-Regalado v. Southern California Permanente Medical Group, et al.

PROCEEDINGS: PLAINTIFF'S MOTION TO REMAND (DKT. 10)

Honorable JOHN A. KRONSTADT, UNITED STATES DISTRICT JUDGE

The motion hearing is held via Zoom Webinar. Counsel, the Court, and court staff all appear in that manner. Recording or re-broadcasting of the proceedings is strictly prohibited. The Court states its tentative views that it is inclined to grant-in-part and deny-in-part Plaintiff's Motion to Remand at Dkt. 10 (the “Motion”). The Court is inclined to dismiss without prejudice the fifth, sixth and seventh causes of action as pre-empted and remand the remaining four causes of action. Counsel address the Court. The Court takes the Motion UNDER SUBMISSION and a ruling will be issued.

The Court inquires whether settlement efforts at this time would be productive. Counsel state their willingness to meet and confer on the issue.

IT IS SO ORDERED.
