HERBERT BURROWS, Plaintiff, v. SGT. BATES, Defendant. HERBERT BURROWS, Plaintiff, v. SGT PUENT and ALICIA CARTWRIGHT, Defendants.

ORDER

ANDREW R. WISEMAN UNITED STATES MAGISTRATE JUDGE

Plaintiff Herbert Burrows has filed two proposed civil complaints. Plaintiff has not paid the $405 filing feefor each case nor asked for leave to proceed without prepayment of fees or costs. In the event that plaintiff wishes to proceed without prepayment of the filing fee, the enclosed petition and affidavit must be completed to determine whether plaintiff qualifies as indigent.

Effective December 1, 2023, the total fee for filing a civil action is $405 (the $350 statutory fee plus the $55 miscellaneous administrative fee).

ORDER

IT IS ORDERED that plaintiff Herbert Burrows may have until August 2, 2024, in which to either pay the $405 filing fee for each case or to submit an affidavit of indigency and return it to the court. If, by August 2, 2024, plaintiff fails to respond to this order, I will assume that plaintiff wishes to withdraw the actions voluntarily. In that event, the cases will be closed without prejudice to plaintiff filing the case at a later date.
