INSURANCE, § 57 — underwriter's commissions. Where contract, appointing plaintiff as exclusive underwriter for defendant insurance company in certain territory for five years, provided that termination of contract should not affect plaintiff's right to renewal commissions on policies written prior to termination and that commissions should be allowed as long as the business remained on defendant's books, and plaintiff, in accordance with provisions of contract, undertook at his own expense to handle claims and losses on certain annual group policies, upon termination of contract and assumption of such duties by defendant a reasonable charge for this work was a proper charge against plaintiff's commissions, and as to group policies with respect to which new members were added without solicitation and with respect to which premiums were remitted without expense to defendant plaintiff was entitled to commissions on new members covered by such policies so long as they remained in force.

Appeal from the Superior Court of Cook county; the Hon. JOSEPH GRABER, Judge, presiding.
