SIM STANLEY BITTICK, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 15th Judicial District Court Grayson County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 071896

ORDER

ROBERT D. BURNS, III, CHIEF JUSTICE

Appellant was convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child. Appellant's amended brief on pages 4 and 7 names the victim who was a child at the time of the offenses. Because the brief violates rule 9.10 of the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure, we STRIKE appellant's amended brief. See Tex. R. App. P. 9.10 (a)(3), (b) (prohibiting the filing of documents containing the name of any person who was a minor at the time the offense was committed).

We ORDER appellant to file, within FIFTEEN DAYS of the date of this order, a second amended brief that identifies the victim by initials only.
