ORDER DENYING PETITION

This is a proper person petition for a writ of mandamus. Petitioner alleges that he submitted a notice of appeal to the district court and complains that the district court clerk failed to transmit it to this court. We have reviewed the documents submitted in this matter, and without deciding upon the merits of any claims raised therein, we decline to exercise original jurisdiction in this matter. NRS 34.160 ; NRS 34.170. Petitioner has provided no proof that he submitted a notice of appeal to the district court. A notice of appeal should be filed in the district court in the first instance. NRAP 4(b). Accordingly, we

ORDER the petition DENIED.
