Audrey Jorgia Beckman v. Jerry Bernard Anderson, Sr

LC No. 2022-000069-DS

ORDER

Elizabeth L. Gleicher, Chief Judge, acting under MCR 7.203(F)(1), orders:

Appellant's "fee waiver request" is treated as a motion to waive fees and is GRANTED for this appeal only.

The claim of appeal and "Motion to dismiss with Evidence against the Court (Tribunal of Maritime Admiralty)" are DISMISSED for lack of jurisdiction. The time for filing an appeal of right is jurisdictional. MCR 7.204(A). The claim of appeal was not timely filed within 21 days of entry of the May 5 [sic], 2022 order that was identified on appellant's amended claim of appeal; and, the claim of appeal was also not filed within 21 days of entry of an order deciding a timely postjudgment motion for relief from the May 5 [sic], 2022 order. MCR 7.204(A)(1)(a). Further, while the initial claim of appeal received on April 26,2023 identified the order being appealed as an April 7, 2023 order, appellant has not provided an April 7, 2023 order to this Court and the register of actions does not show entry of an order for that date.
