Hira Azhar v. Mohammad Ali Choudhri

Trial court 312th District Court of Harris County Trial court case number: 2015-36895

ORDER

Amparo Monique Guerra Judge

On August 31, 2023, this Court affirmed the trial court's judgment. See Azhar v. Choudhri, No. 01-20-00169-CV, 2023 WL 5615810 (Tex. App.-Houston [1st Dist.] Aug. 31, 2023, no pet. h.) (mem. op.). A motion for rehearing was due by September 15, 2023. See TEX. R. APP. P. 49.1. Appellant, Hira Azhar, filed two motions for an extension of time to file a motion for rehearing/en banc reconsideration, and the deadline was extended to November 3, 2023, with no further extensions. Nevertheless, appellant has filed a motion for leave requesting a nineteen-day extension to file a motion for rehearing/en banc reconsideration. Appellee, Mohammad Ali Choudhri, has filed a response opposing the motion.

Due to extenuating circumstances as stated in appellant's motion, the motion is granted. Appellant's motion for rehearing/en banc reconsideration is due to be filed no later than November 22, 2023. No further extensions will be granted.

It is so ORDERED.
